A single asphalt runway is available for use at Carson City Airport: Runway 9-27. Runway 9-27, at an elevation of 4,697 feet above mean sea level (MSL), is 5,906 feet long, 75 feet wide, and oriented in an east-west direction.

Perfectly situated between Reno and Lake Tahoe, Carson City Airport is the convenient alternative for western pilots. Fueling and other services are available through two fixed base operators and the airport now has FAA approved instrument approach procedures which will go into effect on Nov. 20, 2008.
